Four Point Perspective Logo

A group of eager students have decided, after looking at the displays around the college, to form their own advertising agency promoting the Design & Technology department within the college.  To do this the students have decided to create posters, redecorate the hall cabinets and generally promote the Technology department throughout the site.

The students have named their agency ‘Four Point Perspective’ and have already decided on a motto that represents how strongly they believe in what they are hoping to achieve:

“Bringing the technology into our technology college.” – The Four Point Perspective motto.

Their motto shows how much the team wants to raise the awareness of the importance of the Design and Technology to the college. With all of the hard work they are putting into this project it should not be too long before they achieve this goal.

Year 9 D&T Enrichment Week!

During enrichment week (6th -10th July) a competition was held between the student houses to see who could raise the most money, with the proceeds going to charity. Using their design and technology skills the students produced a number of products which they then sold to their family, staff and other students. The items they created included cards for various occasions, picture frames, iPod holders and even some very nice cakes .

Each of the houses worked hard to produce and sell their products, and together raised a grand total of £220.45! Well done to Brindley house who collected the most during the week, but also well done to the rest of the students for their brilliant effort.

School Fundraising - 6/09

Recently the money collected in memory of Gill Harris was officially presented to Ovarian Cancer Action. Peter Reynolds the Chief Executive of Ovarian Cancer Action, was invited to Bristnall Hall to receive a cheque on behalf of the charity for the grand total of £10,477.67. The donation money was raised with an all day fundraising event, organised by our very own Paula Barrie, involving line dancing and rowing by staff and students.

On his visit Peter Reynolds thanked everyone involved, saying ‘I was delighted to be able to meet some of the staff and students who took part in this mammoth event – our thanks to everyone, and particularly to Paula for organising such an amazing day.’
